Abstract

Introduction: bioethics tends to express a rather tolerant vision in the face of radical positions that establish clear limits to behaviors beyond what nature may have established within a context of cosmogony and that is capable of accepting the diverse positions that human sexuality tends to express beyond archetypes and traditional positions. Objective: to substantiate the bioethical implications related to abortion in adolescence. Method: A literature review was conducted from September to October 2021 in the REDIB, SeCiMed, Scopus, MedLine, SciELO and LILACS databases, using Semantic Scholar and BASE as search engines. Of the 56 articles retrieved, 23 were selected for the development of the research. Conclusions: it was concluded that the current trend on abortion, according to several authors, is towards its legalization as the most ethical and correct way to act, respecting women's autonomy, decreasing clandestine abortions and maternal morbidity and mortality.
